Rader Programs Staff Biographies
Rader Programs uses an inter-disciplinary approach consisting of the following staff to address the multi-faceted nature of Eating Disorders including Anorexia, Bulimia and Compulsive Overeating:


Jonathon Rader   Jonathan Rader, Ph.D. - Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Rader received his doctorate from La Jolla University and has been involved in the treatment of eating disorders since 1985. His work on the relationship between sexual abuse and eating disorders has been documented in eating disorders journals and he has been interviewed on eating disorders by numerous magazines and news programs.  Dr. Rader began our program as he wanted to bring together an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team that could address the emotional, physical, nutritional, exercise, family and social components of eating disorders.
Jay Kapitz   Jay Kapitz, C.P.A. - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kapitz has been a Controller and Chief Financial Officer in the eating disorders field since 1985. He is also responsible for coordination of information and telecommunication services for Rader Programs. Jay is proud to have received his bachelor's degree from the University of California Los Angeles.
Erin Bader   Erin Bader, RN, B.C., LMFT - Director of Nursing
Erin received her Masters of Arts Degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She also has 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse. After receiving her RN, she began her nursing career helping children who had been diagnosed with cancer. She found herself providing not only medical care for the child, but emotional support for the family. It was at that time she discovered her true passion and decided to pursue a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy.
  Christa Vera - Program Coordinator
Christa Vera performs the very important role of Program Coordinator. Christa has extensive experience in healthcare administration with treatment facilities. She is instrumental in keeping the hospital in compliance and maintaining our policies. At the present time she is furthering her degree in health information administration. Christa not only brings a sense of security and reliability, she is warm and compassionate which is conveyed to staff and patients.

Medical Staff:

Nomi J. Fredrick, M.D.   Nomi J. Fredrick, M.D. - Medical Director
Dr. Fredrick is a graduate of the New York University School of Medicine. Nomi completed both her residency and fellowship in psychiatry at the University of California Los Angeles. She specializes in psychopharmacology. In addition to her work at Rader Programs, Dr. Fredrick does research in psychoneuro-endocrinology.

  Imani J. Walker, D.O. - Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Walker is a physician trained in General Adult Psychiatry. She graduated from a Psychiatry residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry from Sepulveda VA-UCLA Medical Center. She holds a doctorate in medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine & a Master's of Science in Public Health from Tulane University. She also studied acupuncture at Helms Medical Institute during residency. Her approach to her patients combines holistic and traditional Western medical practices which include the role of proper nutrition and exercise to one's well being.
Katie Richiger   Beth Jenkins, M.D. - Medical Doctor
Dr. Jenkins earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA. She received her Medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed both an internship in combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics and a residency in Pediatrics at St. Vincents Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. Beth is also a certified yoga instructor. She promotes yoga and other forms of exercise, healthy eating habits and stress reduction as part of her focus on preventative medicine.


Robin Steiner   Robin Steiner, M.S., M.F.T. - Director of Intake and Assessment
Robin conducts consultation sessions and counsels patients and their families towards treatment. She interfaces with counseling staff as well as business services to insure delivery of insurance information to prospective patients prior to admission.

Robin attended SDSU/UCSD combined Graduate program where she received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Robin ran a private practice in Beverly Hills, where she specialized in treating eating disordered patients with emphasis on family dynamics. Involved with psychiatric care and the treatment of eating disorders for over 25 years, she went on to become Program Director and family therapist for H.O.P.E. Institute, a pioneer residential program in the field of eating disorder treatment.
Marilyn Orman   Marilyn Orman - Admissions and Discharge Coordinator
Marilyn received her Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology and Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. She has been a part of the Rader Programs team since 2010 and has worked as a Mental Health Worker, Medical Records Technician, and Benefits Coordinator. Marilyn is also an alum of Rader Programs and has been working her own recovery program since 2006. She is excited to act as Admissions and Discharge Coordinator as she understands the importance of creating a strong discharge plan for when clients return home after completing treatment.

Katie Richiger   Katie Richiger, M.F.T.i - Individual Therapist
Katie Richtiger is a marriage and family therapist who graduated with her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge. Katie has extensive experience and specializes in working with those who suffer from eating disorders. She has worked in several different levels of care including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care. Using her personal experience with eating disorders and education, Katie relates to each patient on a personal level to help guide the patient through an individualized recovery path.
Katie Richiger   Ron Park, M.A. - Individual Therapist
Ron has been involved in both treatment and research of compulsive behaviors, especially drug addiction, for over 20 years. Ron has more than six years experience with traumatically brain injured individuals, developmentally disabled, and learning disabled persons. Ron has been very involved in research and teaching at the university level for more than 12 years. Ron is currently finishing his PsyD.
Katie Richiger   Linda Farhat, M.F.T.i - Individual Therapist
Linda is a Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated with her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University.   Linda has extensive experience working with individual's suffering from severe mental illness and co-occurring addictions.  Linda has worked  in  inpatient  and outpatient facilities helping individuals through recovery of mental illness.  Linda understands the role that family and other supports play in helping individuals in their recovery.  Linda enjoys working with families and bringing them into the treatment process.
Katie Richiger   Ronna Hoffman, M.F.T. - Part-time Counselor
Ronna was licensed as an MFT in 1993, and has been helping clients for over twenty years. She attended school at UCLA and Ryokan. She has a holistic, multidisciplinary approach, and has extensive experience working on a conscious and subconscious level; bringing compassion, skill, and expertise to help individuals with eating disorders and coexisting disorders. She has a private practice in Malibu and Beverly Hills.


  Anna Harris, R.D. - Dietitian
Anna Harris, MPH, RD, is a registered dietitian, and holds a masters degree in nutrition from Loma Linda University with a specialty in public health nutrition. As a dietitian at PSH, Anna conducts individual nutrition assessments, leads the nutrition education group, and co-leads the “Top Chef” activity. She has both inpatient and outpatient experience doing nutrition counseling using Medical Nutrition Therapy for those suffering from chronic medical issues including eating disorders, diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal disorders. Her training focused on nutrition’s role in preventative healthcare, and she adopted the value of whole person care which includes not only physical health but also spiritual and  emotional health.


Cindy Malecky, M.B.A.
  Cindy Malecky, M.B.A. - Exercise Counselor
Ms. Malecky is originally from Connecticut but has called Southern California her home since 1986. Cindy received her Bachelors in Science from Boston University and subsequently earned her Masters from the University of Phoenix. Malecky is a Certified Health Fitness Instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine with specialized training in Pilate’s for rehabilitation. She enjoys helping individuals achieve their fitness goals.
Kate Nash   Kate Nash - Nia Technique Instructor
Kate has been teaching Nia Technique classes for over 10 years. She is a Certified Nia Black Belt Instructor and owns her own Center for wholistic wellness in Ventura, Ca - Ventura Nia Center. Nia is a Body*Mind*Emotions*Spirit movement practice which fuses Martial Arts, Dance Arts and Healing Arts together to create a fun, expressive and healing movement program for all ages and abilities.

Alisa Morrison   Alisa Morrison - Alumni Coordinator
Alisa works directly with the alumni population, assisting them in their own recovery journey. Alisa oversees our social media accounts and manages the alumni blog as well as outreach operations. She brings enthusiasm and positivity for life free from an eating disorder to alumni near and far. Her understanding and patience for recovery is felt throughout her work. She is currently furthering her education in Psychology.


Dannie Lee - Accounting Manager
Ms. Lee has been an Accounts Payable, Contracts, and Vendor Manager since 1998.  She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California,  Los Angeles, in English with a Minor in Business Administration in 1996.  She is responsible for all payroll, vendor account and telecommunication coordination services for Rader Programs and provides direct support to the CEO and CFO.

Leah Lucchese   Leah Lucchese - Director of Business Services
Leah Lucchese has served as a patient advocate in the medical field for over a decade. With an expert understanding of Mental Health Laws, Medical Policies and Insurance Billing practices, she and her staff are here to handle the “business” of insurance so our patients can focus on the recovery process.
Nyssa Dunning   Nyssa Dunning - Accounting and Business Services Coordinator
Ms. Dunning has worked for The Rader Programs for 8 years. Nyssa enjoys working on a variety of tasks throughout the program; including insurance and benefit verifications, coordinating marketing events and staff and working as a liaison for The Rader Programs and Pacific Shores Hospital. Nyssa has helped develop and implement the Community Outreach & Alumni Coordinator positions within the marketing department.

  Eric Salazar - Chef
Eric brings his culinary experience and management skills with a career professionally honed from his strong background in clinical nutrition. With two decades invested in this arena, starting with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, then an intensive period of therapeutic diets preparation employed with Project Angel Food in Los Angeles, he specialized in collaborating with registered dietitians in creating recipes and menus for clients. Additionally, as a former Food Service Director of two residential drug and alcohol programs treating clients with co-occurring illnesses, Eric brings his knowledge and enthusiasm to our organization.
